A broken leg doesn’t have to keep us from dancing. It just means we have to dance a little differently. Maybe we need to sit down and rest more because we get tired quickly. Maybe we don’t dance as gracefully as we once did because the ache in our legs keeps us from the spins, kicks, and twirls we once loved. Dancing with a cane or crutch is part of our new normal.
This blog is about dancing… of a sort. My sister is battling metastatic uterine cancer for the 4th time, which means she is facing aggressive chemotherapy to get back into remission. Cancer is a beast. It also stole my husband 4 1/2 years ago. I could very easily slide fully into the trauma and trajedy of my sister’s illness and my husband’s death. That would not help me cope, and it certainly would not help me care for my sister.
This blog will keep me focused on dancing, on finding the joy and peace of daily life despite my fears, pain, and loss.
I welcome you to dance with me.
Thank you for including me in Patti’s fight for freedom from cancer.

Thank you for being with us in the battle. We all gain strength knowing we as a family do not walk alone.
